'Travel and Transport - Moving towards a Green Future' volunteering opportunities

England and Scotland

Sign up to volunteer as a ride leader or local representative with Cycling UK.

Scotland

Help refurbish bikes or promote cycling as a means of transport with Bikes for Good.

Spend the day volunteering in Birmingham on the 13th August from 9:30am-3pm, with the Canal and River Trust!

Activities on the day will include litter picking using grabbers, nets, and grappling hooks to get a whole range of sizes of litter from the areas around the canal and within the water itself as well as gardening activities such as weeding and cleaning.

Typical Plan

9:30 am – 10:00 am Arrival to site and assigned PPE. Followed by the Pre-work Briefing and Health and Safety talk.

10:00 am – 12:30 pm Walk to the location of the days works. Then beginning the task.
