Birmingham Volunteering Day - Canal and River Trust – Autumn/Winter Dates 🍂❄️

Sign up to one of the upcoming volunteering days with the Canal and River Trust in Birmingham, to help revive the towpaths and make a real difference for everyone who enjoys the canals!

You can join as a volunteer or step up as a volunteer lead. Volunteer leads will receive full training prior to the day.

Typical Plan

9:30 am – 10:00 am Arrival to site and assigned PPE. Followed by the Pre-work Briefing and Health and Safety talk.

10:00 am – 12:30 pm Walk to the location of the days works. Then beginning the task.

12:30 pm – 1:00 pm Lunch break. Not every site will be in easy walk to shops so everyone should bring their own refreshments with them.

Birmingham Volunteering Day - Canal and River Trust, 13th August

Spend the day volunteering in Birmingham on the 13th August from 9:30am-3pm, with the Canal and River Trust!


Activities on the day will include litter picking using grabbers, nets, and grappling hooks to get a whole range of sizes of litter from the areas around the canal and within the water itself as well as gardening activities such as weeding and cleaning.
