Civil Service Network for Nature event on the 14 October: 75 years of protecting nature and access to the countryside
The Civil Service Network for Nature has organised an 'in conversation' event on the 14 October (starting at 12 noon) linked to the 75th anniversary of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act that was passed late in 1949.

This seminal piece of legislation helped create National Parks, National Nature Reserves and long distant footpaths (and so much more). We'll be joined by Dame Fiona Reynolds, former Director General at the National Trust and passionate champion of nature and the countryside, to talk about its impact and relevance now in the climate and ecological emergency.
