State of Natural Capital Report for England - Livestream of Launch
Natural England are pleased to announce that Tony Juniper, Chair of Natural England, and Marian Spain, Chief Executive will be launching Natural England’s State of Natural Capital Report for England 2024 – Nature at risk and why it matters on 9th October 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The launch event will be livestreamed and will include short speeches/presentations and a panel Q and A session.
This accessible, non-technical and actionable report brings together scientific evidence on the state of our natural capital (nature) in England, for decision-makers. It is aimed at a non-environmental audience and particularly other government departments. It sets out the state of ecosystem assets, assesses how at risk they are, and identifies opportunities and actions to address this risk. It highlights the consequences of risks to nature for economic resilience, Net Zero, climate adaptation, food security, water security, and health and well-being.
