Spaces are still available to volunteer with the Canal and River Trust on the 28th October!
You'll spend the day reviving towpaths and improving the health and biodiversity of our waterways.
📍 Location: Central Birmingham (precise location to be confirmed)
📅 Time and date: 9:30am on 28th October 2025
🎽 What to wear: Comfortable clothes that are appropriate for the weather and closed toe shoes!
Typical Plan
9:30 am – 10:00 am Arrival to site and assigned PPE. Followed by the Pre-work Briefing and Health and Safety talk.
10:00 am – 12:30 pm Walk to the location of the days works. Then beginning the task.
12:30 pm – 1:00 pm Lunch break. Not every site will be in easy walk to shops so everyone should bring their own refreshments with them.
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm Continuation of assigned tasks.
2:30 pm – 3:00 pm Pack up and clean-up of site before the end of the session.
3:00 pm The exact time for the end of the session is flexible due to many factors such as weather, completing the task earlier than expect etc. But all sessions will finish by 3:00 pm at the latest.
