Support the delivery of the biggest climate conference in the world, this year being held in Brazil

These are cross-cutting, UK-based roles and we are looking for people keen to work in this fast-paced and changing environment. There are currently up to 12 different roles available on a temporary basis, on level transfer only.

NB: In line with previous COP surges and DESNZ ExCo agreement, surge volunteers will stay on home team budgets. Please inform your line manager of your intention to apply. Given the importance of this work to DESNZ’s mission and Ministerial priorities, the Recruitment Exceptions Panel expects that staff will be released unless a Director objects due to the importance of their ongoing work.

Volunteers last year made a huge difference to delivery and team resilience. Many found it a very positive opportunity too, broadening their experience, personal development and skill-set to the benefit of their home team on return. We will offer a full introduction and work hard to integrate you into our friendly and inclusive team.

Please state the relevant role/role number for your application. If applying for multiple roles, please use one single application, stating clearly which roles you are seeking and whether you have a preference. Please make sure you cover all necessary skills etc in your application. All applications must be sent to the following mailbox - surgecoppavilion@energysecurity.gov.uk
