The National Infrastructure Commission is looking for a Policy Adviser to support the development of the UK’s long term infrastructure strategy. This is an exciting time to work at the Commission as it develops its forward workplan, building on the Second National Infrastructure Assessment.
The vacancy will be based in the NIC’s energy team, but there may also be opportunities to work on projects across the Commission’s wider remit.
The role requires creative thinking and an ability to develop rigorous analysis to address complex issues. You will be able to work flexibly and collaboratively, building productive working relationships with stakeholders across government and industry, as well as colleagues across the energy team and wider secretariat. You will be comfortable getting into the detail of issues – delving into both quantitative and qualitative evidence – and also able to communicate this clearly and succinctly to a range of different audiences.
