RED is seeking to recruit a deep expert in weather and climate.
The Natural Hazard Science Hub aims to draw on the best scientific expertise, including leveraging UK national capabilities, to deliver scientifically robust, authoritative, user-centred and actionable information to inform FCDO decision-making, planning, policies and early action, based on early warnings of natural hazards such as floods, droughts, wildfires, heatwaves and volcanic eruptions. To ensure FCDO is utilising the best available science and evidence and commissioning the best and most relevant research, we are seeking a specialist on weather, climate and natural hazards with operational experience in meteorological forecasting.
