Environmental Advisor (SEO) at the Planning Inspectorate
As an Environmental Advisor Senior Officer in the Environmental Services Team at the Planning Inspectorate, you will be leading the environment team's support to some of the biggest infrastructure projects in England and Wales, from offshore wind farms and solar development to airport and port expansions.
Your role would include:
Project management
Providing environmental advice to colleagues in the Environmental Services Team, Inspectors and applicants
Analysing, advising and reporting on environmental documents including Environmental Impact Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessments
Ensuring that the preparation and examination of applications meet the relevant legislative and policy tests, and conform to good practice in environmental assessment and good design
Assisting with service improvement
Attending project meetings and team meetings
Liaising with other government bodies

Our office is based in Bristol but we currently support hybrid working and have a flexible approach to in person attendance.
