Future of Energy Security Summit, all grades
The UK will be hosting a high-level and high-profile International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Summit on the Future of Energy Security in London on 24/25 April 2025 at Lancaster House. The global Summit will assess the existing and future risks facing the global energy system and seek to prioritise the solutions and opportunities available for addressing them.
The team are looking for several Delegation Liaison Officer volunteers who will form part of the Summit Team and will be responsible for key aspects of the delegate experience. Unlike usual DLO roles, candidates will liaise across a number of delegations as a point of contact throughout the Summit, such as directing Ministers to booked bilaterals. These are exciting roles to deliver key aspects of a high-profile political moment. The successful candidates will work collaboratively across the Core Summit Team and colleagues across Government, our IEA partners, our production company partner, and our events partner, Lancaster House.
They are seeking motivated and adaptable team players who can think on their feet. Experience of managing senior international stakeholders from Governments, having language skills, and/or working on major events would be helpful.
This opportunity is open to all grades (any travel costs would come from your dept budget) – please seek Line Manager approval before volunteering.
In addition to the days of the Summit, candidates would need to be available for a training day of at least 1 day early-mid April (date tbc). Additional flexibility on availability in the fortnight leading up to the Summit would be beneficial to engage with event planning.
This is an exciting, fast paced, and stretching opportunity to be at the heart of an international Summit, learn how they are delivered and get stuck in to make it a real success on the day.
If interested in volunteering, please reach out to Adam Simmons (Adam.Simmons@energysecurity.gov.uk) before Friday 4th April.
