Transition Policy Manager
Duration: 9-12 Months (Possible 6 for right candidate)
Location: Hyrbid / London - in person at least twice a week
Hours: Full-time, Fixed-term
Salary: Full package £110,000 (inc. ERNI, Pension, VAT etc)
Flood Re provides reinsurance to commercial insurance companies. They are set-up as a commercial business, but they are also a public body who get their funding from the insurance sector, through powers granted by legislation. They are also a time-limited intervention, ceasing to operate in 2039.
This role is considering how flood resilience implemented at a household level can lead to greater flood insrance coverage in the future. There are two core elements to this:
Household: what is possible to do at household level, and how can we capture and convey this information?
Insurance industry: what does the industry need in order to recognise household level changes and adopt practice accordingly?
They are looking for a technical expert who has interest in the above policy areas, as well as someone motivated to better understand the commercial imperative at play for the insurance industry.
