Resilient Rail: Adapting to the Impacts of Climate Change - Thursday 21 November 15:45 - DfT Environment Network
How ready is our national infrastructure for the changing climate?
Join us for an internal panel event hosted by the DfT Second Permanent Secretary, Jo Shanmugalingam, featuring keynote speaker DG Rail Services, Alex Hynes, and rail sector experts (from Network Rail, Southeastern, Govia Thameslink Railway and Porterbrook), who will talk about some pioneering work in the rail sector on climate resilience. Extreme weather events are becoming more frequent, and the risks of disruption on all our transport infrastructure are increasing. This event offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the role we all have to play in a changing climate.
The event link is below and will be on Thursday 21 November 15:45-16:30.
