Hosted by the UK’s National Decade Committee for the UN Ocean Decade in partnership with Defra, FCDO and the Royal Society.
A science policy dialogue and networking reception to take stock of UK engagement with the UN Ocean Decade and explore UK policy directions and science priorities for the next five years.
The UN Ocean Decade covers a huge breadth of UK policy interests including pollution, climate change, marine renewables, shipping, fishing, marine ecosystem protection and restoration, the blue economy, the arts, heritage, culture and many more. This dialogue centres around three workshops digging deeper into the science-policy priorities for these areas, so it would be great to have representation from across Government.
Join us to hear from ocean policy leads across the UK Departments and Devolved Governments, researchers leading key UN Ocean Decade Actions, and practitioners advocating for science-based ocean action. Members of the UK National Decade Committee look forward to discussing future directions for the UN Ocean Decade in the UK with a wide cross-section of our diverse stakeholder network.
